Honoring the past, honing the future: bridging history and technology through Libraries, Archives and Museums

The University of the Philippines Library Science Association Inc. (UPLSAA) in cooperation with the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies (UP-SLIS) conducted a Seminar on “Honoring the past, honing the future: bridging history and technology through Libraries, Archives and Museums” last April 13-15, 2016, at the Bayleaf Intramuros, Intramuros, Manila.

Mrs. Ortiz, the University Library’s Cataloger, and Mrs. Esposado, one of the Library staff , joined the said Seminar which aimed to help Library, Archives, and Museums (LAMs) recognize their roles in nation building by making the most to harmonize the use of technology and innovative systems in preserving and propagating the nation’s cultural identity;  and to recognize, relearn and reflect on the fundamental and strategic roles of Library, Archives and Museums (LAMs) to give a better perspective and put into context the institutions’ goals and future endeavor.
