The WVSU Library staff, headed by the University Librarian, Mrs. Nora P. Rose, successfully facilitated the PLAI-WVRLC Seminar Workshop 2016. The affair was held at the Audio Visual Hall, WVSU, last March 5, 2016, with Dr. Luis A. Abioda opening the program.
Dr. Danilo M. Baylen of University of West Georgia, and a visiting Professor at WVSU-College of Education, enthusiastically engaged the more than eighty participants as the resource speaker. With the theme: “Application of Information Technology to School Libraries”, Dr. Baylen introduced several online and offline computer applications that may be used in marketing libraries and services, as well as giving them the chance to practically explore such applications during the workshop.
The seminar-workshop aimed to keep the Librarians in the region be open to technology and entice them to use the introduced applications for improved library services.
