West Visayas State University participated in the Trabaho at Serbisyo Hatid sa Bayan 2026, bringing its available government positions closer to job seekers during the two-day event held Sept. 8–9 at the SM City Iloilo Event Center.

Organized by the Civil Service Commission Regional Office VI as part of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the activity brings together government agencies to provide employment opportunities and selected frontline services in a more accessible setting. The initiative is an enhanced version of the annual Government Job Fair and forms part of the CSC’s broader effort to promote accessible, responsive and people-centered public service.

Representing WVSU’s Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), Abigail Quirante and Rey Matthew Parreño provided information on the University’s available career opportunities and assisted interested applicants during the event.

Among the vacancies presented by WVSU were several Administrative Aide VI (Clerk III) plantilla positions assigned to various offices in the University’s main campus. The participation provided prospective applicants with an opportunity to learn about the positions, qualifications and application requirements directly from the University’s HRMO representatives.

The Region VI leg was among the simultaneous activities conducted nationwide under Trabaho at Serbisyo Hatid sa Bayan 2026, which integrates employment services and government frontline services in accessible venues. The CSC said the initiative seeks to bring employment opportunities and government services closer to communities while promoting a more adaptive and citizen-centered public sector.

WVSU’s participation underscores the University’s commitment to providing accessible employment opportunities and strengthening its engagement with the public as a state university and government institution.
