West Visayas State University (WVSU) top officials affirmed their commitment to public service through the signing of the Lingkod Bayani Commitment Wall in observance of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary at the WVSU Main Campus.

University President Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz led the signing alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma. Asuncion Christine V. Dequilla, Vice President for Research, Innovation and Extension Dr. Greta G. Gabinete, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Peter Ernie D. Paris, and Vice President for Medical and Allied Sciences Dr. Victorino Salcedo III.

Carrying the anniversary theme “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani,” the initiative calls on government officials and employees to publicly affirm the values of “Puso sa Serbisyo, Dangal sa Tungkulin, at Galing sa Paglilingkod” through their commitments on the Lingkod Bayani Commitment Wall.

The commitment wall serves as a platform for government personnel to express their individual pledges while fostering solidarity, collective responsibility and a shared sense of community. It also serves as a call to action for employees to carry their commitments beyond the activity by upholding service excellence, accountability and continuous improvement in their respective workplaces.

WVSU encourages its personnel to take part in the initiative by writing their own commitments on the wall, which is located at the ground floor of the Administration Building, WVSU Main Campus.

Through the initiative, the University joins government institutions nationwide in reaffirming the importance of integrity, accountability and excellence in public service.
