West Visayas State University (WVSU) President Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz has been recognized among the Top 10 SUC Presidents of the Philippines who are Scopus producers and researchers, earning 10th place in the list released by Global Health Focus (GHF) University Excellence.

Dr. Villaruz recorded a Scopus score of 6, with 93 citations and an h-index of 3. He also has a publication as recent as 2026, highlighting his continuing engagement in research and scholarly work alongside the demands of leading the University.

The recognition reflects Dr. Villaruz’s commitment to leading by example and strengthening a culture of research and knowledge creation at WVSU.
