WVSUโ€™s College of Education mentors train managers of Child Development Centers and other child care program

Selected municipal, city, and provincial social welfare and development officers all over the country get to learn new competencies with the 16th Batch ofย  Leading and Managing an Integrated Early Childhood Care and Development Program (LMIEP) currently being held in Cebu City from Sept. 4 to Sept. 8, 2023.

This program is spearheaded by West Visayas State University College of Education and the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council.

The said program aims to enhance the participantsโ€™ competencies to efficiently and effectively lead and manage their respective Child Development Centers (CDCs) and other ECCD programs.

The LMIEP program comes in 3 phases. The first phase was on May 29 to June 2, 2023 at Golden Prince Hotelย  in Cebu City while the second phase was delivered online and the 3rd phase is on Sept. 4 to 8 at Quincentennial Hotel in Cebu City .ย 

Learning mentors from WVSU are the following: Prof. Marievic Violeta, Dr. Myra Angelie Oliveros, Dr. Mary June Pineda, Dr. Verna Jade Janay, and Dr. Rosalea Cornelia de Leon.

On the other hand, members of the management team are COE Dean Ricky Magno, Dr. Daisy Rosano, and Prof. Rossini Monsalud.

WVSU previously conducted batches 8, 13, and 14.
