Objective:

The Obstetrics and Gynecology as one of the major departments of West Visayas State University Medical Center was established in 1986. The general objective is to train comprehensively in a period of 4 years physicians in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology ; to render level II service in obstetric and gynecologic care which includes: care for complicated pregnancies, diagnose and manage gynecologic disorders, render pre- and post-operative care, anesthetic care and pain control in OB-Gyne patients, perform minor surgical procedures, perform complicated vaginal procedure when indicated, and assist surgery for more complicated surgery.
