Competency :

Knowledge to perform and interpret standard, complex, and specialized tests in the Blood Bank including External Quality Assurance samples and research studies.

*  Able to perform inventory of blood/blood units and make reports as required by the Regional Blood Center.                    *  Monitor usage of blood/blood units.

*  Has good organizational and time management skills.

*  Demonstrates good communication skills, can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to work rapidly and accurately with a strong attention to details.

*  Ability to work effectively in team-oriented environment.

*  Able to write work instruction manual and knowledgeable in quality quality control and quality assurance procedures.

*  Must be computer literate (MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint).

*  Must be flexible and has the ability to work with various schedules and able to think to well under pressure.

*  Willing to undergo training relevant to work assignments when necessary.
