In a remarkable event marking the 37th Founding Anniversary of West Visayas State University (WVSU) Medical Center, Dr. Villaruz presided over a mass oath-taking ceremony for 479 employees, and also honored the retirees.

 

This significant gathering exemplified the university’s commitment to fostering professional growth and unity among its healthcare workforce.

The West Visayas State University (WVSU), through the Office of Student Affairs and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Iloilo City, organized a University-wide Job Fair.

 

This event was specifically designed to cater to the career needs of WVSU’s graduating students and alumni. The occasion commenced with an opening address by Dr. Villaruz, who emphasized the significance of this event in assisting university students in finding suitable job opportunities post-graduation.

West Visayas State University (WVSU), through Dr. Villaruz, signed a usufruct agreement with Brgy. Jayobo, Lambunao, today, April 3, 2024, at the Lambunao Government Center.

 

This agreement will allow them to utilize WVSU-CAF land for the construction of a gymnasium and multi-purpose hall.

 

Dr. Villaruz emphasized that this project aligns with the university’s core function of extension, benefiting the community at large.

The Commission on Audit (COA) held Annual Audit Exit Conference on April 2, 2024 to discuss the Audit Findings of the accounts and operations of the West Visayas State University (WVSU) Main and External Campuses.

 

This conference held at the Research Building, ensures fair and balanced reporting process allowing the WVSU Management to present their perspective.

Dr. Villaruz extended his congratulations to Kyle Palabrica and Lucas Gerard Arañador, who proudly represented West Visayas State University in the Search for Mr. & Ms. RASUC-VI 2024.

 

Demonstrating their remarkable performance, Palabrica and Arañador were hailed as third runner-up and first runner-up, respectively.

Dr. Villaruz celebrated his birthday after leading the oath taking of the designated and re-designated University Officials, yesterday, March 19, 2024.

 

This significant occasion signifies a new chapter of dedication and growth within the academic community, fostering an environment of impactful progress and unwavering commitment.

Bataan Peninsula State University’s Extension and Training Services Office visited Dr. Villaruz today, March 13, 2024 at the WVSU Main Campus.

 

The purpose of this visit was to engage in a benchmarking activity, focusing on the outstanding extension service practices implemented by West Visayas State University.

Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz attended and delivered a message during the Suppliers Forum held today, March 12, 2024, at the Center for Teaching Excellence.

 

This event aims to establish a solid foundation of transparency, fairness, and legal compliance within WVSU’s procurement processes.

On March 9, 2024, Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz delivered a message during the Regional Mass Oath-Taking of successful passers of the 2023 Licensure Examination for Agriculturists at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel.

 

Dr. Villaruz highlighted that as agriculturists of this generation, they play a key role as mobilizers, steering our region towards a bountiful economy.
