West Visayas State University (WVSU), in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada hosted the Marshall McLuhan Forum Series on Responsible Media.

 

The event, held at the University Cultural Center on March 8, 2024, focuses on “Freedom and the Free Press: The Role of Journalists in Critical Public Discourse and Accountability in the Post-Truth Era in the Philippines.”

 

The forum features veteran journalist Ms. Karmina Constantino as the resource speaker.

Dr. Villaruz, together with the university officials, attended the testimonial program of Dr. Rosario Clarabel C. Contreras, the reappointed campus administrator of WVSU Calinog.

 

Dr. Contreras renewed her commitment to fostering academic excellence, community engagement, and innovative initiatives within the WVSU Calinog Campus.

Dr. Villaruz shows support to UMWAD Western Visayas for their Quarter General Consortium Assembly on February 29, 2024 at WVSU Binhi Building.

 

This brings together consortium members of different SUCs, government agencies and private stakeholders to review and enhance key aspects of collaborative efforts.

Dr. Villaruz delivered a message to the participants of the Making and Taking Opportunities: The Internationalization Recalibration Workshop hosted by the International and Local Linkages Office on February 28, 2024 at the Nursing Ampitheater. This event aims to leverage the university’s effort in internationalization.

Dr. Villaruz attended the Testimonial Program of Dr. Mary Josephine Bautista, the reappointed campus administrator of West Visayas State University (WVSU) Lambunao campus on February 27, 2024.

Dr. Villaruz attends the testimonial program for Dr. Guiller Pendon, celebrating his reappointment as Campus Administrator of WVSU Janiuay Campus. This follows Dr. Villaruz’s commencement of his second term as the University President.
